Participant Waiver & Release
Please read the following information before registering for Ellafi Kind Strength in Action.
Ellafi Kind Strength in Action is designed to provide an empowering experience focused on education, awareness, connection, personal safety and wellness. The event may include physical activities, demonstrations and participation opportunities, including a self-defense mini class.
Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in certain activities at the event, including the self-defense mini class, may involve physical activity and inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, physical contact, falls, strains, sprains, bruises, soreness or other injury.
I understand that participation in any physical activity is voluntary. I agree to participate only within my own physical abilities and comfort level and to follow all instructions provided by event organizers and instructors.
Release and Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I agree to release and hold harmless Ellafi Federal Credit Union, Ellafi Kind, and their respective officers, directors, employees, volunteers, representatives, instructors, event partners and participating organizations from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses arising out of or related to my voluntary participation in the event or its activities, including the self-defense mini class, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be waived or released.
I understand that this release applies to my participation in activities offered as part of Ellafi Kind Strength in Action, whether or not I participate in every activity.
Personal Responsibility
I agree to act responsibly and respectfully throughout the event and to follow all safety instructions provided by event staff, instructors and participating professionals.
I understand that I may choose not to participate in any activity and may stop participating at any time if I feel uncomfortable, unsafe or unable to continue.
Medical Considerations
I understand that Ellafi Kind and Ellafi Federal Credit Union are not providing medical advice or medical care as part of this event. I am responsible for determining whether participation in any physical activity is appropriate for me.
If I have a medical condition, injury or other concern that could affect my ability to participate safely, I understand that I should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before participating.
Acknowledgment
By registering for and attending Ellafi Kind Strength in Action, I acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to review this Participant Waiver & Release and understand its terms.
Eventbrite registration will include a required acknowledgment of this waiver and release.
