🎉 Meet Our First 2026 Winner: Love From Lincoln
We're excited to announce the first recipient of this year's Ellafi Kind Nonprofit Giveaway! Congratulations to Love From Lincoln, nominated by Ellafi member Donna B.
Love From Lincoln was created following Lincoln’s unexpected diagnosis of severe heart failure at just four years old, which led to an extended and life-changing journey at Boston Children’s Hospital. During this time, Lincoln underwent multiple critical interventions, including ECMO and placement of a Berlin Heart, while awaiting a heart transplant.
For nearly a year, Lincoln and his family lived between hospitals and home, navigating complex medical care, long hospital stays, and the challenges of balancing family life across two states. With the support of their community, they were able to remain together throughout this difficult time.
After 327 consecutive days in the hospital and 352 total days of care, Lincoln received a life-saving heart transplant. Today, he is thriving at home, attending kindergarten, and continuing regular follow-up care while enjoying everyday childhood moments with his family.
Inspired by their experience, Love From Lincoln now supports other families facing pediatric cardiac journeys by providing comfort, resources, and acts of care during long hospital stays, helping ease the emotional and practical burdens these families often face.
As our first 2026 Ellafi Kind recipient, Love From Lincoln has been awarded a $500 donation to help provide catered dinners for families and care teams on three cardiac floors at Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
We're honored to support their mission and the meaningful impact they continue to make for families in our community.

🎉 Meet Our Second 2026 Winner: Bare Necessities
We’re excited to announce the second recipient of this year’s Ellafi Kind Nonprofit Giveaway! Congratulations to Bare Necessities, nominated by Ellafi member Christopher H.
Bare Necessities was founded after a simple question at a local food pantry revealed a critical gap in community support: access to diapers and essential hygiene products for families in need. What began as a grassroots effort quickly grew into a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to meeting this basic but often overlooked need.
Today, Bare Necessities supports thousands of families across Connecticut’s Shoreline communities, ensuring that infants and children have access to diapers and essential care items that are not covered by government assistance programs.
Through the support of dedicated volunteers and community partnerships, Bare Necessities continues to address diaper need insecurity and help restore dignity and stability for families facing financial hardship.
As our second 2026 Ellafi Kind recipient, Bare Necessities has been awarded a $500 donation to help provide diapers and essential hygiene products to families across the region.
We’re honored to support their mission and the meaningful difference they continue to make for families in our community.
