Robyn Swanson serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ellafi Federal Credit Union, bringing 28 years of financial services experience, including 27 years of dedicated leadership at Ellafi. Throughout her career, she has played a central role in shaping the credit union’s strategic vision, operational strength, and member-focused innovation.
As CEO, Robyn leads the organization with a clear focus on growth, sustainability, and meaningful impact. She oversees the execution of Ellafi’s long-term strategy while fostering a culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and forward-thinking leadership. Over the years, she has been instrumental in expanding the credit union’s field of membership, guiding successful mergers, and advancing a comprehensive suite of digital financial solutions to better serve members.
Robyn also led the organization’s transformative rebrand to Ellafi, a bold initiative centered on empowering women and addressing the unique financial challenges they face. Through a commitment to pay equity awareness, enhanced financial education, and thoughtfully designed financial products and services, she continues to position Ellafi as a leader in financial empowerment and inclusion.
A passionate advocate for professional development, Robyn is deeply committed to mentoring emerging leaders and cultivating opportunities for growth within the organization and across the credit union movement. Her dedication to community impact extends beyond Ellafi, including teaching financial literacy to high school students, serving as Secretary of the Cromwell Athletic Club, and supporting her church’s religious education program.
Robyn is an active member of the Connecticut Women’s Council and the Hartford Women Leaders Association. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Quinnipiac College and has previously served on the boards of Connecticut Jump$tart and the Middletown Mentor Program.
Outside the office, Robyn enjoys spending time with her husband, adult children, beloved pets, and the close friends who feel like family.
