Today, we proudly celebrate the retirement of Betsy Sommers, Senior Vice President, after nearly 20 years of dedicated service to our credit union.
While Betsy’s official tenure spans almost two decades, her connection to our organization reaches back even further. Long before joining our team as an employee, Betsy worked closely with our leadership, staff, and board members as a trusted advisor, trainer, and consultant, helping shape the culture and direction of our organization for many years.
Throughout her career, Betsy has played an important role in guiding our credit union through periods of growth, transformation, and change. From leadership development and strategic planning to member service and team building, her impact can be seen across every part of the organization.
Betsy has always been passionate about helping people grow, both personally and professionally. She challenged us to think differently, encouraged collaboration, and inspired those around her to embrace change with confidence and purpose. Her ability to lead with both wisdom and humor created lasting relationships and a workplace culture centered on learning, innovation, and service.
Over the years, Betsy helped welcome countless employees to the organization, supported teams through major milestones, and played a key role in the evolution of our credit union through several chapters of our history, including our transition to Ellafi.
Her leadership leaves a lasting legacy, not only in the success of the organization, but in the many people she mentored and inspired along the way.
As Betsy begins this exciting new chapter, we extend our deepest gratitude for her years of service, dedication, and leadership. We wish her nothing but happiness, relaxation, and new adventures in retirement.
