Every year on August 26, Women’s Equality Day gives us an opportunity to reflect on the progress women have made, honor the women who helped pave the way, and look ahead to the work still to be done.
The day commemorates the certification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which recognized women’s constitutional right to vote. While that milestone represented an important step toward equality, the journey toward equal opportunity continues today.
