Women in Business Networking Night Brings Local Professionals Together for an Evening of Connection and Learning
There’s something special that happens when a room is filled with people who are passionate about learning, growing, and supporting one another.
That was exactly the atmosphere at Ellafi Federal Credit Union's recent Women in Business Networking Night, where business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community leaders gathered for an evening of meaningful conversations, valuable insights, and new connections.
From the moment attendees arrived, the room was buzzing with energy. New introductions quickly turned into conversations, ideas were exchanged, and relationships began to form, creating an inspiring reminder of the strength and support that exists within our local business community.
Learning from Local Experts
This month's event, From Cybersecurity to Energy Savings: Strategies for a Stronger Business, featured two presentations focused on helping businesses navigate today's challenges with confidence.
Reanna Murray of Connecticut Business Technology Group (CBTG) shared practical cybersecurity strategies designed specifically for small and midsize businesses. Her presentation covered today's most common cyber threats, ways to recognize potential risks, and simple steps business owners can take to better protect their organizations.
Attendees left with actionable tips they can begin implementing immediately, reinforcing that cybersecurity doesn't have to be overwhelming to make a meaningful impact.
We also welcomed Kristilee LaHaye of Globelé Energy, who shared valuable insights into today's energy market and how businesses can take greater control of their energy expenses. From identifying opportunities to improve efficiency to understanding available incentive programs, Kristilee provided attendees with practical strategies to help reduce costs while supporting long-term business success.
Together, both presentations offered valuable perspectives on two important topics affecting businesses today, proving that small changes can make a significant difference.
More Than a Networking Event
While the educational sessions were a highlight of the evening, one of the greatest takeaways was the opportunity to connect with one another.
Throughout the event, attendees shared experiences, exchanged ideas, celebrated successes, and built new relationships that extended well beyond a simple handshake. It was inspiring to see professionals from different industries coming together with a shared desire to learn and support one another.
These moments are exactly why Ellafi continues to host Women in Business Networking Night.
Building Community Beyond the Event
At Ellafi, we believe financial wellness extends beyond products and services. It includes creating opportunities for people to connect, learn, and grow together. Our Women in Business Networking Night is one way we bring that mission to life by providing a welcoming space where professionals can gain practical knowledge, expand their networks, and discover new opportunities.
We're proud to help foster a community where collaboration, encouragement, and lifelong learning continue long after everyone leaves the room.
