In recognition of International Women’s Day, Seasons Federal Credit Union is proud to support Girls Inc. of Central Connecticut’s (GICC) Summer Camp at its Meriden location. With summer fast approaching, our $1,600 donation will help fund a week of the organization’s enriching, pro-girl programming that runs from June to August, providing a safe and empowering environment for local girls.
“This donation helps us continue to provide high-quality programming that builds confidence, leadership, and resilience in girls,” says Laura Tiedge, GICC Executive Director. “Our Summer Camp is an excellent opportunity for girls to have fun while developing skills they need to succeed in life and beyond.”
Each themed week of Girls Inc. Summer Camp features hands-on, minds-on activities and games designed to build self-esteem, confidence, and social skills. Participants will learn, explore, and form lasting friendships, all while embracing the organization’s mission to ensure every girl leaves camp feeling Stronger, Smarter, and Bolder.
Seasons FCU donated $25 for each of our 43 employees to support GICC’s Summer Camp. In addition, from March 10 to March 21, we invited our employees to match this donation or contribute an amount of their choosing, further expanding the impact of our support.
“At Seasons FCU, we’re committed to increasing access to opportunities for girls in our community,” says Robyn Swanson, Senior Vice President of Seasons Federal Credit Union. “Supporting the Girls Inc. of Central Connecticut Summer Camp is a wonderful way to help these girls build confidence and skills that will serve them well for years to come.”
