At Ellafi, we believe banking should go beyond money. It’s about people, community, and creating opportunities for good. That’s why we created Ellafi Kind, our charitable initiative dedicated to uplifting and empowering local communities.
This July, we continued our Ellafi Kind Nonprofit Giveaway, inviting members to nominate local nonprofits for a chance to receive a $500 donation. Each week, we've had the privilege of recognizing organizations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Today, we're proud to announce our fifth and final recipient.
Congratulations to The Sisters' Project!
Nominated by an Ellafi member, The Sisters’ Project is a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families with compassion, hope, and practical assistance.
Founded in 2010 by a group of biological sisters and sisters through friendship, The Sisters’ Project was created with a shared mission of raising funds to support individuals and families affected by cancer throughout our local community. Over the years, the organization has become a source of comfort for countless families by providing financial assistance, supporting cancer recovery programs, and funding scholarships for local students whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
Through community fundraising events and the generosity of volunteers, sponsors, and supporters, The Sisters’ Project continues to make a lasting difference. Their work helps ease the financial and emotional burdens that often accompany a cancer diagnosis while reminding families that they are not alone in their journey.
As our fifth 2026 Ellafi Kind recipient, The Sisters’ Project has been awarded a $500 donation to help continue supporting local cancer patients and their families through community programs, financial assistance, and other initiatives that bring comfort and hope during difficult times.

The Ellafi Kind Charitable Entity is registered as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation with the IRS. It is a separate independent legal entity, incorporated in Connecticut and operated by the board of directors comprised of Ellafi Federal Credit Union employees.
