At Ellafi, we believe banking should go beyond money. It’s about people, community, and creating opportunities for good. That’s why we created Ellafi Kind, our charitable initiative dedicated to uplifting and empowering local communities.
This July, we continue our Ellafi Kind Nonprofit Giveaway, where members nominate local nonprofits for a chance to receive $500 in support. Each Friday, we announce a new winner selected from those nominations.

Bare Necessities was founded to address a critical need in our community: access to diapers and basic hygiene products for families in need. What began with a simple question at a local food pantry has grown into a volunteer-driven organization supporting thousands of families across Connecticut’s Shoreline.
Thanks to this nomination, Bare Necessities will receive $500 from Ellafi Kind to help provide essential diapers and hygiene products to families across the region, ensuring children have access to basic care and dignity.

The Ellafi Kind Charitable Entity is registered as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation with the IRS. It is a separate independent legal entity, incorporated in Connecticut and operated by the board of directors comprised of Ellafi Federal Credit Union employees.
