Keith A. Wiemert is a seasoned leader in the credit union industry with over 40 years of experience, including 28 years as President and CEO of Ellafi Federal Credit Union. Under his leadership, the credit union has achieved significant asset growth, expanded its membership base, and successfully navigated three mergers and two name changes. Keith also led two field of membership expansions, demonstrating his commitment to innovation and strategic growth.
A strong advocate for the evolution of the credit union model, Keith is dedicated to ensuring long-term sustainability and member-focused innovation. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Western New England University.
Beyond his leadership at Ellafi Federal Credit Union, Keith has been an active force in his community and the broader financial industry. He has served as Treasurer of the Middletown Rotary, a Board and Executive Committee Member of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, and a Board Member of the Credit Union League of Connecticut, where he also took on the role of Acting President and CEO. His dedication to service extends across various community boards and committees, where he continues to make a lasting impact.
Outside of work, Keith enjoys spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren, who bring him endless joy.
