Betsy Sommers brings over 35 years of experience in the credit union industry, with a career that includes leadership roles at both natural person credit unions and a state credit union trade association. She joined Ellafi Federal Credit Union in 2006, leveraging her extensive knowledge of the organization from her previous work with the Credit Union League of Connecticut and as a private consultant. Her seamless integration into the Ellafi team allowed her to make an immediate and lasting impact.
Originally overseeing Human Resources, Marketing, and Training, Betsy’s role has since expanded to include leadership of various lending functions and human resources operations.
Betsy holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Miami University (Ohio).
Beyond her professional achievements, Betsy is passionate about tennis, travel, and hiking. She is also a founding board member and former Treasurer of Team Towanda, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to funding mammograms and other breast-related services for underserved individuals in central Connecticut.
