Our Story: How We Got Here
This transformation didn’t happen overnight. It began with listening. We conducted deep research, surveyed members, and collaborated with advocates for women’s equity in finance. The response was clear:

What’s Changing
- Our Name: We are now Ellafi Federal Credit Union — a blend of Ella (meaning “she/her” in many languages) and FI (Financial Institution). It’s elegant, strong, and inclusive.
- Ellafi is pronounced "Ella-fy" — like the name Ella + the ending of words like amplify or simplify. Think: "Ella" + "fy" (like the beginning of finance and short for Financial Institution).
- Our Look: A new visual identity that reflects our values — bold, modern, and inspired by the strength of community.
- Our Focus: A dedicated commitment to supporting women+ and their allies with relevant financial tools, education, and service.
