At Ellafi, we believe that education has the power to transform lives, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for future generations. Each year, our scholarship program recognizes exceptional students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world around them.
This year, we are proud to award scholarships to three remarkable students whose stories inspire us and remind us of the incredible potential that exists within our communities. As they prepare to begin the next chapter of their educational journeys, we are honored to support their goals and celebrate their achievements.
Malachi H.
The Ella Scholarship
Orville H. Platt High School
Malachi will be attending the University of Saint Joseph, where he plans to study Business.
A dedicated student-athlete and basketball player, Malachi has demonstrated leadership both on and off the court. One of the most defining moments of his high school experience came when he courageously stood up for a teammate who was being targeted and attacked. His willingness to do what was right, even in a difficult situation, reflects the character, integrity, and compassion that make true leaders.
We are proud to recognize Malachi's accomplishments and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make in the business world and beyond.
Dominic G.
The Ellafi Kind Community Scholarship
Xavier High School
Dominic will be attending the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where he will pursue the Physician Assistant Studies Pathway.
After experiencing a medical situation involving medication that affected his central nervous system, Dominic turned a challenging personal experience into a source of inspiration. Determined to understand what was happening to his body, he immersed himself in research and learning. That journey sparked a passion for medicine and ultimately led him toward a future career as a Physician Assistant.
Dominic's resilience, determination, and desire to help others are qualities that will serve him well throughout his academic and professional career. We are excited to support his aspirations and know he will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.
Emma D.
The Jean Crook Memorial Scholarship
Mercy High School
Emma will be attending Princeton University to study Economics.
Throughout her high school years, Emma faced significant challenges when her father was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Rather than allowing those circumstances to define her, she embraced responsibility and became a source of strength for her family. Her experiences inspired her to advocate for mental health awareness, eventually serving as a board member for the Connecticut National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Emma's compassion, leadership, and commitment to helping others embody the spirit of this scholarship. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and look forward to all she will achieve as she continues her education at Princeton.
Looking Ahead
The future is bright for Malachi, Dominic, and Emma. Their stories demonstrate perseverance, courage, leadership, and a deep commitment to serving others. While each student's path is unique, they share a common determination to create meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
On behalf of everyone at Ellafi, congratulations to our 2026 scholarship recipients. We are honored to be part of your educational journey and cannot wait to see the success, innovation, and positive impact you will bring to the world.
We wish you all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter. Your hard work and dedication have already inspired us, and we know this is only the beginning of what you will accomplish.
